Victoria Lyons

Victoria Lyons has 18 years of experience in education, teaching Pre-K to 8th grade technology class in Baltimore, Maryland. Victoria is currently an Instructional Technology Specialist/Staff Associate for K-8 students and higher education. She holds a Microsoft Innovative Educator Certificate of Learning (2017) and a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems (2000). Each summer Victoria coordinates and teaches the Baltimore City Schools Summer Tech Academy, where she helps other teachers learn to integrate 21st century skills into their lessons. She also works with African-American males at Morgan State University incorporating STEM activities. Victoria enjoys developing resources and training on how technology can improves data and enhance the learning experience.

Zia Hassan

Zia has spent half of his career as a technology consultant with IBM, and the other half as an educator in DC Public Schools. He holds a Master's Degree in Teaching (MAT) from Trinity Washington University and is a Microsoft Learning Consultant. He has trained thousands of people in hundreds of schools across the country and in the DC area. He is currently writing a book about modern education entitled Inventing the Modern Classroom, which will be available this summer.
