Intro to microsoft teams

Microsoft Teams is your hub for teamwork, which brings together everything a team needs: chat and threaded conversations, meetings, and content collaboration with the power of Microsoft 365 applications. With teams, you have the ability to create and integrate apps and workflows your business relies on. In this session, you will learn how Microsoft Teams can help you manage a small or large team/project-make plans, share resources, co-author documents and get feedback to make decisions quickly. Teams provides a single hub to help you stay connected, get organized and bring balance to your entire life.

3

Understanding self in the name of equity

Many people are unable to articulate exactly what they want and need from others, colleagues and employers, to feel equitable in a work environment. Understanding your self, family origins, experiences and other unique, social identities is the first step to dealing with gender, racial, ethnic, and other biases in the work environment. In this session, you will discover your own identity and work to identify and articulate your needs; and reflect on how those needs can be met in your organization.

4

Group identity, dynamics and the diverse, inclusive work environment

Collective awareness of the social distinction of a group is important to understanding how to lead in a diverse, work environment and changing world. At the organization level, it is important to focus equity, diversity and inclusion efforts in a way that will create lasting change. We must harness the power of employees' diverse experiences and consider how those experiences help teams, large and small, achieve full potential and increase overall productivity and success. This session starts with understanding group identity and dynamics.

5

Moving beyond: Collective equity in action

Participants in this session will work together to create an equity statement and plan that incorporates group identity and dynamics. In this session, your team will set goals, learn how to collect data, identify needs and concerns, develop a sustainable plan, and implement the plan. We will also work with your organization to strategize design to match business objectives and measure the results to adjust where needed.

Cultivating an anti-racist, healing oriented organization

This is a professional development series for professionals who are ready to transform their work to authentically contribute to racial equity and healing in the community served. This experience provides a rare space to unpack the implication of race, power and privilege in leadership. Participants will be supported as they evaluate the foundational theory and practice in their sector and how it negatively impacts the experience of African Americans.

Once complete, participants will leave with tools to better navigate this emotionally charged fight for racial justice. With heart-centered, genuine connection at the forefront, brave space will be held for reflection, commitment and redefining their work and passion.
